Two-Factor Authentication, Explained

KB-4.7 · 1 min · Updated September 2026

Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires a second piece of proof beyond just a password to log in: typically something you have, like a code sent to your phone or generated by an authenticator app, rather than only something you know, your password.

NameBright supports three 2FA methods: SMS, an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or Authy are the recommended options), and email, which is always enabled by default.
